A Singapore based artist, Afiqa A’mran graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. What started as just a hobby at age 14,she is now looking to explore the depths of her art and the ways it could make an impact not just for herself, but for others too.
Afiqa A’mran’s works focus on blurring the lines between reality and fiction as well as projecting how ironic it is that we are told to be ourselves; yet we are forced to present ourselves only in the ways that are acceptable by society’s standards. With the same intention in mind, she wishes to explore the intricacies of social interactions and the intimate moments that can be shared between two souls.
Her works have been exhibited in When You Were Mine Solo Show and selected group shows at Cuturi Gallery, as well as Chrysalis, Desiring Bodies and My Hands on My Seat Exhibitions by Lasalle College of the Arts.
