Press release
Unfinished Business brings together Singaporean artists Casey Tan, Faris Heizer, and Joel Seow, presenting works-in-progress and sketches that chart the evolution of their practices while revealing moments of experimentation and the often-overlooked stages of artistic development.
Unfinished Business offers a close-up look at the creative process - where things aren’t polished, and ideas are still shifting. Inspired by the concept of the "third place," this show explores the space between home and work, where creativity is free to wander, stumble, and grow. It’s a space where raw experimentation thrives, and unfinished ideas can take shape. Tied to Cuturi Gallery’s second space, Cuturi Capsule, this show functions like an artist’s workshop, an open environment where you’ll find rarely seen works, fragments, abandoned projects, and moments of doubt.
Here, imperfections are part of the process, and the journey is just as important as the destination. Instead of finished works, Unfinished Business focuses on the messy side of art: experimental pieces, incomplete ideas, and works that are still evolving, capturing the raw freedom of creativity in progress.
Unfinished Business will be on view at Cuturi Capsule, 71 Sultan Gate, S198496 from 27 September to 1 November 2025.
