Claudia Koh was born in 1999 in Singapore. Having graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts with a diploma in Fine Arts in 2020, she has been constantly creating paintings while working at an art gallery.
Drawing influence from the symbolisms of botanical species, Koh assimilates these aspects into her works, setting in a layer of her personality. The relationship between the female body and Mother Nature is a significant component that directs her works. Using her experiences as an Asian woman, nature, and the life surrounding her, Koh’s works involve a high level of meticulous yet spontaneous details, leaving the audience to decipher the allegories and symbolisms planted within her paintings and to understand her curiosities and personal sentiments further. Koh is pursuing a BFA in Painting at the Rhode Island School of Design and will graduate in 2026.
