Cuturi Gallery

Established in 2019, the gallery has rapidly built a strong presence through its close collaborations with emerging Singaporean artists. Rather than simply introducing local art, it actively engages with artists from abroad, fostering dialogue that transcends artistic boundaries between East and West. While many of the artists begin from personal experience and the memory of place, the gallery is particularly interested in works that resonate on a universal level.

Examples include Khairulddin Wahab, who layers postcolonial histories, environmental memory, and traditional craft techniques to create his paintings; Faris Heizer, whose figurative works sensitively explore contemporary labour and the complexities of social relationships; and Shen Jiaqi, who captures the memories and architecture of Singapore amid rapid urban transformation.

Since 2020, the gallery has also demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting emerging artists by operating an artist residency programme in Singapore and organising solo exhibitions. Following a satellite exhibition in London in 2022, the gallery plans to further expand its international presence this year with new exhibition spaces at the Palais-Royal and in Noves, France.
