We are delighted to announce the opening of Cuturi Gallery’s new permanent London space at 2A–4 Ryder Street, in the historic district of St James’s.
London marks a new chapter in our long-standing commitment to building bridges between Southeast Asia and Europe. Following the opening of our Paris gallery in the Palais-Royal earlier this year and our summer programme in Provence, establishing a permanent home in London feels like a fitting progression. Having presented satellite exhibitions in the city since 2022, we have developed meaningful relationships with artists, collectors, curators and institutions across the UK and Europe. Putting down roots here allows us to deepen these relationships, create new opportunities for our artists, and bring their work into conversation with wider international audiences.
We are especially honoured to make our home in St James’s, a district steeped in centuries of art and patronage, where generations of dealers, auction houses and institutions have drawn collectors and connoisseurs from around the world. Today, this legacy continues through a vibrant community of some of the world’s most respected contemporary art galleries, which we are humbled to join. Coming from Singapore, a cosmopolitan crossroads of cultures from Southeast Asia and beyond, we hope to contribute our own perspective to this historic landscape, championing the artists we believe in and encouraging a meaningful exchange between regions.
This spirit of exchange has been at the heart of Cuturi Gallery since we opened in Singapore in 2019. Our approach has always been shaped by a close commitment to our artists and their ambitions, and by a curiosity for practices and perspectives that cross cultures, generations and geographies. London gives us a new setting in which to continue this work, while remaining rooted in the values and relationships that have shaped the gallery from the beginning.
The London gallery will soft launch on 18 September 2026 with SIN – LON: Window Seat, a solo presentation by German artist Jochen Mühlenbrink, bringing together works from his Singapore residency alongside new works created in 2026. Best known for his uncanny trompe-l’œil paintings, Mühlenbrink uses illusion to explore how images are constructed and how vision is mediated. This will be followed on 8 October by the third and final iteration of Arbres de la forêt, vous connaissez notre âme by French artist and designer Hubert Le Gall, an exhibition curated by esteemed French curator Bruno Gaudichon that opened at Cuturi Gallery Paris, travelled to Villa Noël in Provence, and will culminate in London.
Above all, we are grateful to the artists, collectors, collaborators and friends who have grown with and supported us over the years. Reaching this moment would not have been possible without their trust and support, and we look forward to continuing this journey together and welcoming friends, old and new, through the doors of our new London home this September.
