Biography

Dawn Ang is a Singaporean artist under the moniker of Aeropalmics. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Arts from Lasalle College of the Arts in 2010, and she has since produced drawings, papercutting and photography inspired by growth, space and memory.

Dawn is best known for her steadfast attention to detail within her pencil and papercut pieces that range from the pleasing to the macabre. She finds inspiration in the everyday, focusing on the nuances of the human condition; birth, growth, emotionality, aspiration, conflict and mortality, coupled with references to the natural world.

The multidisciplinary artist has had her work exhibited at Kult, Ikkan Gallery and the Esplanade and approached by clients such as Johnnie Walker, the National Youth Council and Esquire for her illustrative work. Dawn has since taken up interior designing and is currently exploring digital illustration, furniture design, along with experimenting with a slew of other mediums.
