Biographie
Born in Singapore, 1997, Aisha Rosli graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) with a Diploma in Fine Art (Western Painting) in 2018. She has had successful solo shows at Cuturi Gallery and was featured in several group exhibitions including OH! Open House in Singapore, Galerie LJ in Paris, Unit London in the UK, At The Table Group Show hosted by Christie’s and Harpers Gallery in New York, and most recently, ART SG in Singapore.
Referencing 20th century painters, Francis Bacon and Egon Schiele, as well as contemporaries such as Marlene Dumas, Rosli works within the tradition of figurative painting, driven by a mode of interrogation affixed to our bodily presence. Exploring themes of solitude, concealment, proximity, and desire, she presents figures inhabiting constructed scenes and situations that pander towards the uncanny. Rosli primarily works with acrylic and oil sticks, where her tendencies to layer and glaze her paintings comprise multiple iterations of concealing and revealing states of mind apropos one’s physicality. She is known for incorporating recognisable stylised patterns such as stripes, gingham, and lattice into her paintings, which serve as an important device for her to anchor the uncanny in and around her characters. To this end, Rosli’s figurative manifestations dwell in obscure environments that appear curiously familiar, yielding a certain enigmatic quality to unpacking her psychologically charged works.

Sixty Summers Here
Aisha Rosli, Anna Du Toit, Casey Tan, Faris Heizer, Joel Seow, Marla Bendini, Oneal Parbo, Shen Jiaqi, Vanessa Liem, Yom Bo Sung 12 Juillet - 8 Août 2025 SingaporeCuturi Gallery is proud to present Sixty Summers Here celebrates a generation of ten young Singaporean artists, in their 20s and 30s, whose practices reflect the vitality and resilience of art-making today. Marking Singapore’s 60th year of independence, the exhibition brings together works across painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, and more—foregrounding process, experimentation, and everyday life. Rooted in care, attentiveness, and creative rigour, these practices offer quiet but powerful propositions for how art can persist, connect, and evolve. Together, they signal not just what’s emerging, but what’s already here—and here to stay.Lire plus -

transnational group exhibition held in collaboration with Artsphere Gallery (Jakarta). Curated by esteemed art historian and curator Farah Wardani, the exhibition brings together eight contemporary artists, all nder 40 years of age, from neighbouring countries—Singapore and Indonesia, exploring how geography, identity, and shared generational anxieties shape artistic practices across national boundaries.
Featuring Indonesian artists Dian Suci, Prabu Perdana, Ruth Marbun and Iqi Qoror from Artsphere Gallery, alongside Singaporean artists Aisha Rosli, Casey Tan, Faris Heizer and Shen Jiaqi from Cuturi Gallery, these artists present deeply personal reflections on urban life, social conditions, and generational concerns, through diverse approaches to figuration and abstraction. -
